In the Sacred Meadow

When the pair arrived at the sacred meadow, there was nothing to be seen. After a quick search, all that was found was Paper Saria's Ocarina.
"Wha... I think I have an idea!"
While Saria may be unable to play her song, they could still contact her!
*plays Saria's Song*
"Li.., ru.! V.tt. .s co..ng f.r y..........."
That was all thay could make out.
The first two words must be telling them to run, but from what?
Vtt... Vatti? But he's been sealed away since...

"...since recently," Vatti finshed the Link's thought.
His troops surrounded the two, hoping to destroy them.
In this dark hour... only one thing could save them.

Link had no choice but play the song that the Deku Tree gave him...
...and hopefully something will happen.

Meanwhile, Skull kid had been looking as well and just now stumbled into the ambush.

"...Link, who's your friend? Could we get him to be a little less... "Captivating"?

Wolf Link Had been watching from the shadows.

He was placing bets to himself on who would win this battle.

...The odds favored Vaati...

Link (not wolf) sensed something. Was the answer to his call on the way?

Vatti loomed closer, wielding a strange weapon. And the tension... has risen to the maximum."

Vatti could hear the boys' hearts beating.

Thudthudthudthudthudthudthud
"Listen to the sound of your own terror. Do you hear it? And when you hear silence--it may be just a few seconds from now-- that is when you know you have died...."
He uttered a word under his breath, and Skull Kid was viciously attacked... by something white...? And then a claw came under him, pulling him half way into the ground...
As for Link, another word was uttered. A spell to connect spirits together, or a spell to seperate them...

[Hero's Shade]

But a person heard Link's call. And it was exactly the right one.
Hero Shade said the last word to Vatti's spell. And that really messed it up. He masterfully swung his powerful sword, easily peircing the modest Lizafols armor. And driving Vatti back a few inches, to boot!
He came after his foe, but Vatti swung his cape over himself. The villan dissapeared...
"Link, are you okay?"

Link was too dizzy to answer verbaly, but he shook his head yes. While on the other hand, he could see that his friend did not fare quite as well.
"Skull Kid..." Link said weakly.

[Wolf Link]

For once, the wolf was extremely distressed about something other than his own servival: that boys friend was dead, or as close as you can be without actually being dead.

He struggled to gain composure...

Link shed a single tear. It's like Vaati's spell actually worked. His own spirit was crushed in 1,000 pieces. And there maybe no person that could fix it.

Link picked up the piece of wood. He balanced it along with his boomerang. They felt exactly the same, with the same weight...

The hole the claw came through was already there, so burying him is an option. If only they could dig it a little wider.
