"Ya know, why did I end up leading us out, when you live in the Lost Woods?"
He didn't wait for a reply, but took off. They were supposed to see the Great Deku Tree. He stopped in mid-run. Link was staring at his old house, and his eyes were very spacey.

The house was still standing, but it was overgrown. The tree was dying. The leaves were browning, and what in the world happened? There is one answer. There was a big hole behind the tree, and snipped off roots were piled up there.
"......................................................scissors. Even the greatest trees fall to them."
Any trace of emotion was quickly replaced by a grim face. If his foes wish to break him down, they will find out that they would have to litterally do it. Not emotionally.
"We must go see the Deku Tree now..."

*pulls link back before he could say anymore. The Deku tree does not respond...* *wispers*...have you no respect?!?!?! Watch me and take note of this... *Steps forward and makes a jesture with his hand in respect, pointing with his first two fingers an his right hand and twisting it over his sternum, then stepped back and waited...*

Link was shocked. Saria was kidnapped! This was an outrage...
"I'm afraid the key to bringing the Master Scissors from the Sacred Realm, is to bring all of the sages together. That means she must be rescued."

"I... cannot remember what it is called. I think I have a copy of it. It is said that a powerful being from an unkown time and place played this song, but I'm not sure where I got it."  *please note that it's the Elegy of Emptiness, from Majora's Mask. This song serves a different purpose in Paper Hyrule. I chose it since it's a Termina song, never seen in Hyrule before.* |

"*cough* Find him! Find the hero's spirit in the shade... rescue Saria..."
Those were the Great Deku Tree's last words.
"Come on, this tree shall not die in vain! To the Sacred Meadow!"
(Aww... back into the Lost Woods.)
